We are seeking a full-time Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment.

** This is a Full-Time position requiring work on Every Other Weekend. **

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Job Summary:

• Encourages residents to participate in activity programs, with consideration given to former lifestyles, interests, capabilities and limitations.
• Conducts activities on the floors and in other common activity areas.
• Transports equipment and arranges furniture appropriate for the activity.
• Returns room to order immediately following the assigned activity.
• Accomplishes clean up tasks associated with activities and groups.
• Assists Director in development of any needed program changes in order to better accommodate the changing population.
• Reports problems, difficulties and remarkable changes in resident behavior, participation or response.
• Projects warmth, humor, and diplomacy with residents and families.
• Attends meetings as directed by the Activity Director.
• Assists in evaluation and compliance documentation.
• Demonstrates a great sense of responsibility related to any delegated tasks, maintaining a team effort.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Proof of COVID19 Vaccination and Booster Required.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts.
• Recent experience in recreation; preferably in a geriatric setting.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work rotating holidays, evening shifts twice a month, and occasional weekends.
• Working conditions consist of bending, standing, sitting, lifting and moving intermittently during working hours.
• Must assist in the evacuation of residents as necessary.
• Subject to long periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
