Are you seeking a position that will leave you going home feeling fulfilled every day? If so, Goodwill of the Heartland is the place for you. We are looking to hire a part time Career Services Advisor for our Muscatine location!

The Career Services Advisor will work with community members who would like assistance with career planning, accessing certification trainings, conducting their job search activities, or to build computer skills. This position will provide basic skill assessment of each job seeker and assist them in locating the appropriate resources or tools needed for their desired goal, as well as maintain and use knowledge of current labor market trends to assist job seekers and with job applications. The Career Services Advisor will assist job seekers in securing employment in the community through building digital literacy and other skills as needed, basic job search activities, resume writing, interviewing skills, and other employment related activities. This position will also assist with building and maintaining partnerships with area businesses and community agencies, organizations, and schools to represent and market Goodwill resources to fit their workforce needs.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree or two years of study completed from a college/university is required.
  • One year of employment in a related field such as recruiting, supervisory, or training is required. An additional year of employment in a related field may be substituted for the education requirement.

The Career Services Advisor position has a starting wage of $16.29 per hour. The schedule will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 1pm - 5pm & Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Apply online only at www.workatgoodwill.com.
