Status: Full-time, salaried position

Location: The Cross Cultural Health Care Program’s offices at 1200 12th Ave. S, Seattle,

WA. This is primarily an on-site position, currently requiring 3 on-site workdays per week, with 2 workdays per week that can be done remotely.

Compensation: $58,000-$65,000

Benefits: Individual health insurance, including dental and vision; paid sick leave; paid office parking or ORCA card; paid vacation leave and holidays.

Job Overview

The Equity and Inclusion (EI) department manages CCHCP’s health equity and cultural competency training and consulting programs. The three areas that the department engages in are:

  • Equity & Inclusion/Cultural Competency training for health and human services providers; development of health equity educational modules.
  • Training of Trainers (ToT) Program: training qualified individuals to teach our equity, diversity, and inclusion/cultural competency curriculum at their organizations and/or communities.
  • Organizational DEI services such as: DEI assessments/surveys; leadership coaching; DEI roadmap and antiracism strategies development; and facilitating community listening sessions.

The Health Equity Project Manager will collaborate with CCHCP’s leadership and program staff to achieve CCHCP’s strategic goals in health equity and cultural competency. We are looking for someone who has a passion for serving underserved individuals/communities, knowledge of the US health care system, experience in navigating cross-cultural situations, and a love of teaching others how to build cross-cultural bridges and how to enable more equitable and inclusive health care and human services.

Some additional key competencies required by this position are strong program management, excellent writing/communication skills, data analytics, customer service and teamwork skills.

Key Job Functions

Project Management - 40%

  • Operationalize client projects with timely execution of project deliverables. Working with the Equity

& Inclusion Programs Coordinator, tracks the status of all projects, identifying potential barriers to project progression and implementing solutions.

  • Develop and implement project deliverables as assigned, managing project scope, goals, and critical success factors for timely project delivery.
  • Collaborate with CCHCP leaders to drive projects to successful outcomes, serving in an advisory capacity for complex business decisions.
  • Coordinate across the CCHCP departments to identify priorities and achieve organizational alignment across various projects.
  • Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams, driving initiatives to ensure excellent service delivery, quality outcomes, and high customer satisfaction.

Process Development, Reporting & Analytics – 25%

  • Develop and present communications, business cases/analyses, reports, and presentations with compelling data for leadership review.
  • Research and analysis of health care and social services trends and topics.
  • Use a variety of software applications to create/compose senior management level communications and reports. This includes using spreadsheet programs such as Excel to tabulate and analyze data, including survey results. This also requires a knowledge of statistical analysis.

Training and Curriculum Development – 20%

  • Deliver trainings to CCHCP customers using modules developed by CCHCP.
  • Support the updates of current curricula and the development of new training material/modules.

Growth/Innovation and Customer Relationship Development – 15%

  • Execute project requests from customers and CCHCP leadership, serving as an effective liaison between multiple client groups and stakeholders across various levels of management.
  • Analyze and assess present and future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities in enabling more equitable and inclusive health care and social services.
  • Participate in strategic planning for the department. Generate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that improve the quality of our services or grows our current offerings in order to provide services that enable more equitable and inclusive health and social services.

  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, fostering teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

Position Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and 4+ years of experience in public health, social/human services, social work, public policy, health care, education, community development, or justice; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep understanding of the social determinants of health and the health disparities impacting various populations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, with a proven record of successful project completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute action plans, multitask, prioritize information and projects, and manage time effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheet applications, word-processing, and presentation software.
  • Highly competent skills and experience in doing data tabulation and statistical analysis.
  • Experience conducting and facilitating trainings and/or community discussions.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability, with the ability to handle change, juggle multiple high priority demands, and able to adjust to new situations using innovative ideas or approaches.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred, but not required.

  • This position may require some occasional travel locally in the King County area and nationally.
