About the National Alliance for Children's Grief:

The National Alliance for Children's Grief (NACG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering those who work with and care for children who are grieving. We are a vibrant organization with members across the United States. NACG provides resources, education, and networking opportunities to professionals and volunteers in the field of grief support, and advocates for the needs of grieving children and their families. As an organization, NACG is committed to promoting awareness of the unique needs of children who are grieving and ensuring that they receive the support and care they deserve.

We are growing our team with the addition of a Program Manager. This role will be critical in supporting NACG program goals. We are a remote team but connect regularly over zoom and work cross functionally to achieve the organizations goals. Position Summary:

The Program Manager reports directly to the National Program Director. The Program Manager works with the National Program Director to execute education, membership, and event strategies and monitor progress against goals.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Implement and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives and strategic plans. Programs are related to education, membership, events, and grant administration.
  • Maintain organizational standards of quality and performance.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Support the implementation of NACG’s annual plan related to education, membership, and event strategic objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Support the implementation of education and program objectives and strategies identified in the strategic plan.

  • Support the implementation of the education programs of the organization.
  • Assist with the Continuing Education process for the organization and ensures that standards are met.
  • Work with the NACG education committee to support the implementation of education and program objectives and strategies identified in the strategic plan.

2. Support the implementation of membership objectives and strategies identified in the strategic plan.

  • Provide support for ongoing relationships with members.
  • Support the maintenance of the NACG membership database.
  • Work with the NACG membership committee to support objectives and strategies related to the membership of NACG.

3. Support the implementation of event objectives and strategies identified in the strategic plan.

4. Represent NACG at public events as requested.

5. Perform other related duties as requested that support the mission of NACG.

  • Working knowledge of and/or ability to learn a variety of computer programs and applications. Including, but not limited to Mailchimp or related email marketing programs, Zoom, WuFoo, Wild Apricot, Asana, Dropbox, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Education and Experience:

  • B.A. degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in a related field.

Preferred:

  • Previous non-profit experience.
  • Experience in the bereavement field.
  • Master’s level degree.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel within the United States.

Working Conditions:

The NACG conducts its business through a virtual office. The Program Manager will work from a remote home office. The laptop computer, printer, and scanner will be provided by, or costs reimbursed by the NACG. They must expect to travel at least twice per year, including to the NACG Annual Symposium on Children’s Grief.

Reporting Relationship:

The Program Manager reports directly to the National Program Director of the organization.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
