Full Job Description

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve at Sr. Director - US Office (USO) Administration. Acting as an advisor and partner to the SVP and US Leadership Team, the Sr. Director - USO Administration is responsible for facilitating alignment of operational strategies with that of the organization overall, effective decision-making, and successful change management. Reporting to the SVP - US/Canada, this remotely based position requires approximately 20% travel within in the US.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advise and Facilitate Divisional Alignment (30%)
** Provide continuity and follow-through by attending meetings of relevance to the U.S. SVP, noting action items, and acting on their behalf for communications and follow-through with other executives and staff
** Partner with U.S. Leadership Team to facilitate effective information sharing and decision-making across workstreams and divisions to drive outcomes
** Support U.S. Leadership Team and U.S. SVP to diagnose complex organizational issues and challenges, manage related processes as needed, and leverage resources

Coordinate U.S. Integrated Strategic Planning (30%)
** Facilitate alignment and integration of Area Office and U.S. Office operational strategies and goals of ministry areas and support functions with overall HFHI strategy and priorities
** Coordinate with HFHI Office of Strategy Management and other divisional business partners regarding strategy, operational planning, and change management within the U.S. Office, and with other organizational areas of Habitat
** Manage multi and annual goalsetting, progress tracking, integrated divisional planning, individual team and divisional budget coordination/support

Support U.S. Office Collaboration and Implementation (30%)
** Facilitate effective and dynamic decision-making in matters within the U.S. SVP’s purview; seek valid and reliable information in support of the U.S. SVP’s decision-making, guidance and planning purposes
** Establish and maintain systems and protocols regarding U.S.-focused initiatives. Monitor and measure annual milestones, established by U.S. leadership, and approved by U.S. SVP
** Engage continuous improvement and internal training related to systems/protocols/change management as needed
** Facilitate meetings, deadlines and escalation of organizational challenges as needed
** At times, manage and direct projects that cross organizational boundaries

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
** Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
** 10+ years of change management, organizational development, coaching, project management, facilitation, conflict management or related experience
** Demonstrated effectiveness in chief of staff or related role with senior level executives
** Ability to interface with, influence and provide excellent service to all levels of the organization (Board, senior leaders, middle management of HFHI, U.S. Affiliates, international Area Offices and country programs)
** Demonstrated ability to challenge ideas of senior leaders and offer alternative solutions
** Capacity to work cross-culturally and uphold HFHI’s commitment to Diversity Equity and Inclusion
** Understanding of the U.S. Habitat for Humanity affiliate business model, organizational development and U.S. housing sector preferred
