Full Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for conducting internal audits of all sites, client financial records, personnel files, medications, health and safety documentation, and all WAC, DDA and Program requirements, assuring agency compliance in all areas.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Maintain database to track QA standards and compliance.
  • Schedule QA reviews for all program sites throughout the year.
  • Meet with the Program Managers and Regional Directors to review QAs.
  • Audit each program site a minimum of every three months.
  • Audit client medical forms, appropriate releases, and daily note tracking for accuracy
  • o Includes, but not limited to, reviewing MAR’s, daily notes, casual/residential site visits, fire drills, all applicable treatment plans and protocols, medication check forms, client encounter forms, etc.
  • Audit agency incident reports.
  • Generate reports to Senior and Regional Directors for compliances or corrective actions that pertain to Quality Assurance.
  • Identify systemic programmatic and/or personnel issues and provide reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with creation of audit/citation responses and ensure their implementation.
  • Maintain audit/citation history and adapt QA checklist accordingly.
  • Attend management meetings and communicate QA information, findings and updates.
  • Participate in Policy and Procedure Manual review and revision.
  • Help oversee sites on a limited basis during transitions.
  • Assist with investigations as requested/required.
  • Assist with new site and client set up.
  • May be called upon during some evenings/weekends in emergent situations.
  • Assist with DS Trainings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in a related human service field or at least two years of experience working with developmentally disabled persons. Related experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
  • One year experience in internal evaluations/audits or agency accreditation; or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in all MS Office applications.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accepts responsibility for one’s own actions and follows through on commitments.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and be willing to travel to multiple counties.
  • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable background check record per State guidelines.
  • Must possess knowledge of or have the ability to learn applicable WAC/DDA/Agency/RCW policies.
  • Must become familiar with agency electronic documentation system.
  • Be committed to the agency’s mission and objectives.
