Hours for this position are: Morning, Afternoons & Evening Shifts.

Norwood Crossing is a nonprofit healthcare organization specializing in quality senior care. Our facility is located on the northwest side of Chicago in the quaint neighborhood of Norwood Park. Our organization is seeking a part-time dietary aide to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will pride themselves on displaying professionalism, providing top notch care, and having the enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
Properly clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with regulatory standards
Remove debris and garbage from kitchen and properly dispose via refuse .
Mop and sweep kitchen area.
Do specialty assignments within scope of the supervisor's needs.
Clean & prep refrigerators and storerooms.
Provide quality service, care and preperation in all aspects of responsibilities
Able to move frequently throughout the workday.
Possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional ability.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds up to a max of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet unassisted and be able to push, pull move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

Qualifications*
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to be flexible within the hours of operation.
Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
Willing to handle residents based on the maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
