Position: Assistant Program Director

Program: Healthy Connect Adult Services

Hours: This is an exempt, salaried position. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Salary: $72,000 per year

Education/Experience: Master's degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Social Work or Counseling preferred, but equivalent experience of at least two years working in social services will be considered.

Licensure: LCSW, MFT, LPCC or license-eligible preferred, but not required

As an Assistant Program Director, you will:

  • Assist the Program Director with the overall coordination of the program's operation.
  • Provide supervision to direct staff, including Health Services Managers and other individual positions assigned, such as Lead Care Managers.
  • Provide effective leadership for staff to include the full spectrum of personnel management functions, including interview process, training, motivation, evaluation, performance counseling and development.
  • Run program reports; provide feedback and gather input as needed to ensure program compliance.
  • Provide quality assurance activities for the program.
  • Attend all schedule program management meetings.
  • May be expected to provide telehealth services.
  • Serves as a role model for member care as well as provides hands-on assistance for staff as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains positive and professional working relationships with contracted partners, as well as community health, welfare, and social agencies.

Additional Qualifications and Skill

  • At least one year of leadership and/or management experience in related field is strongly preferred
  • Clinical and management background or successful CRF experience
  • At least 1 year of management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a social services setting
  • Experience working with Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) population is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
  • A valid California driver’s license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required, unless legally exempt
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
