Training/Workshop Facilitator

 

Overview:

Under general direction, the incumbent develops content for in-person, virtual and online training experiences for adult learners. Creates/develops training content and lesson plans for workshops in a specific subject, topic, field or genre; delivers and/or facilitates group or individual trainings or discussions.

Responsibilities include providing professional development workshops or conferences in a specific field; evaluate and revising training programs/content for maximum effectiveness; maintains and updates training materials. May have administrative responsibilities such as making copies of training packets, scheduling participants and securing conference or training rooms for in person or virtual learning, maininging training/workshop schedules, and setting up presentation equipment. May work with established Learning Management Systems (LMS) depending on specific program.

Incumbents in the role are independent contributors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Interview and train promotoras in each partnering church
  • Help recruit chruches & community partners (attend meetings, maintain contact and good rapport)
  • Support promotoras to accomplish their duties; assist in overcoming problems at their sites
  • Observe and evaluate promotora work; supervise students who will be assessing promotora skills in classes
  • Create materials for promotora empowerment training

 

Qualifications:

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field related to the program/project
    2- years of previous experience providing training, workshop facilitation and/or leading group discussions.
  • Or a combination of education and relevant experience
