ABOUT US:

The Fox Advancement family of brands provides professional grant writing solutions, capital campaign implementation, and fractional staffing of senior/executive-level fundraising professionals. Based out of Minneapolis, we have supported non-profits across the US with our innovative approach and service solutions for over 25 years.

Fox Grants, is solely dedicated to grant writing (federal and non-federal) and management. Our team is proud of its industry-leading grant win rate of 75%. We continue to grow and have exciting plans for the new year. To support our goals and deliver exceptional client experiences, we seek a dynamic and talented individual to join our team in this newly created role.

The ideal General Manager / President will have a solid operational and consultancy background and proven experience leading employees and independent consultants. To be successful, you must have experience in or with non-profits and a deep understanding of grant writing and management. We operate on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System), and this role will have full ownership of executing the business's strategic vision. Ultimately, this person will move into the organization's Visionary role.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Development: Own the sales process, growing new business and renewals.
  • Client and Consultant Success: Oversight of our client delivery and results, ensuring we can attract the best talent necessary to succeed.
  • Strategy: In conjunction with the current Visionary and Integrator for all Fox Advancement brands, you will help define and then solely implement strategic goals and objectives that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the P&L, ensuring profitability targets are met. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Eventually, you will take responsibility for developing the P & L and results forecast.
  • Client Insights: Keep a pulse on market trends, behavior, and competitor activity. Adjust strategies to reflect changing landscapes.
  • Brand Identity and Positioning: Working with the Fox Advancement marketing team, drive initiatives to deliver results and ensure all activities are consistent with our brand position in the market.
  • Product Line Expansion: Understand the trends in the market and assess if opportunities exist to support our clients. Create test programs, track results, and implement them across the entire business line.
  • Leadership/LMA: Lead, manage, and hold staff accountable - fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in an executive-level role for at least 5-7 years.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitable revenue and lead the sales process.
  • Experience working in a start-up or early-stage company or non-profit with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive growth is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen, decision-making, and P&L management experience.
  • Innovative and forward-thinking with an ability to balance long and short-term objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and move quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Non-profit Management, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.
