Ride Connection is looking for a collaborative, investigative-minded, and customer service-oriented person to join our Provider Support team as a Provider Support Specialist.

We are looking for someone who has a desire to impact our ability to provide more transportation options in the community by becoming a Provider Specialist. This position works with transportation partners, customers, and Ride Connection staff to coordinate, plan, and expand area transportation services. This position supports onboarding, orientation, and ongoing support of new transportation provider partners. The Provider Specialist is a main point of contact and supports transportation providers in their interactions with Ride Connection and the Medicaid Non-emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) program. They identify trends or issues that relate to provider performance and assists with addressing changes.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting salary range of $21.78 – 32.68 per hour depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical assistance and support to Medicaid Non-emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) providers in a way that reflects understanding of the diverse ways in which providers and individuals assimilate information
  • Support and help facilitate NEMT meetings and committees
  • Recommends process improvements and if necessary, supports the collaborative development of work plans.
  • Supports onboarding and orientation of new transportation providers
  • Advocates for transportation providers
  • Identifies trends or issues that relate to provider performance and assists with addressing changes including root cause analysis
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance to develop technical assistance and work plans to support providers
  • Primary point of contact for transportation providers
  • Primary conduit for provider communications within the network
  • Navigates cross department support for providers through a variety of methods
  • Supports safety of service and operations

Qualifications

  • Four years’ experience working in the field of human service transportation planning or BA degree in a related field with a minimum of one year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
  • Experience with transportation service planning
  • Ability to work with a diversity of individuals including staff, Ride Connection’s network partners, community and government agencies, volunteers, and riders to design methods for improving transportation delivery
  • Ability to analyze transportation service delivery and recommend new designs, improvements, or solutions
  • Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated writing skills and the ability to write articulately about Ride Connection’s programs, mission, and vision
  • Experience and comfort with using computers including learning new programs and systems
  • The ability to pass a National Criminal Record Check, which includes fingerprint identification

Welcomed Additional Qualifications

  • Prior experience with NEMT (Non-emergency Medical Transportation)
  • Experience with and some proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual or fluent in multiple languages such as Amharic, Somali, or Arabic, in addition to English
  • Experience working with older adults and people with disabilities
  • Experience working for a Non-Profit organization

Pay: $21.78 - $32.68 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
