Human Resources Generalist

Salary Range: $26.50- $28.22/hr (Bilingual Spanish: $28.89- $30.76/hr)

Schedule: Hybrid Monday-Friday (Mondays and Tuesdays in the office)

 

We are currently in search of an individual with prior experience in the field of Human Resources. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting our Human Resources Team in effectively managing the employee life cycle and assisting in the recruitment process for Morrison. Applicants should possess prior experience in customer service and be committed to fostering a culturally and linguistically responsive environment that supports the workforce.

Morrison Child and Family Services is a non-profit organization providing a continuum of trauma-informed, culturally responsive programs and services for youth and families in residential, shelter, respite, foster care, community & school-based outpatient, family preservation, and prevention services. As one of the largest mental health and substance use recovery agencies serving 7,000 youth in Portland, Oregon, and the state of Washington, our goal is to promote a vibrant culture of self-care, creativity, and overall resilience that contribute to the success of our youth and families.

The Human Resources Generalist will work as an integral part of the human resources team assisting employees and applicants with a wide range of duties related to all stages of employment. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire employee recruitment process, starting from the acceptance of a position to the completion of HR-led orientations (including background screening and credentialing activities). The HR Generalist will lead the employee life cycle to ensure the maintenance of a highly supported workforce. This position will remain open until January 31, 2024, or until filled. Experience/Education Requirements

    • Three years of Human Resources experience supporting the employee life cycle.
    • A combination of education and experience demonstrating knowledge and skill set of supporting the employee life cycle may be considered in lieu of three years of HR experience, but at least one year of direct experience in HR is necessary.
    • Demonstrated experience working with culturally & linguistically diverse communities
    • Intermediate computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, reporting, and email.

 

Preferred Qualifications not required

    • Experience using the Administrator-level user role with ADP Workforce Now
    • Written and spoken fluency in Spanish

 

Other Requirements:

    • Able to pass a comprehensive criminal history background investigation
    • Occasional traveling between program locations, administrative office, and community events with notice.

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to remain stationary up to 80-90% of the time. Ability to utilize computer systems, printers, calculators, and other office equipment. Ability to move items from one area to another up to 15lbs (office materials, recruitment materials, etc.).
