Starting Pay Range - $90-100,000/year

Summary:

Administers HR policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing employee-related services. Responsibilities include creating policies and procedures for the Human Resources department and recommending additional policies and practices to CEO or other members of Executive Leadership Team.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Member of Executive Leadership Team;

· Supervises HR department and staff

· Responsible for all labor relations including employee and union meetings, grievances, 3-year negotiations, annual wage reopener and any issues that may be included in Memos of Understanding during non-bargaining sessions.

· Advise and supports disciplinary process.

· Tracks staff credentials, licensing, training and audit files on an annual basis.

· Provides requested information for various audits as needed.

· Provides advice and counsel on personnel issues to managers and supervisors. Works with managers to coach employees and resolve issues.

· Proposes, publishes and administers personnel policies.

· Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR.

· Prepares, recommends and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.

· Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records by all departments. Creates all necessary correspondence.

· Answers any questions and/or requests by WISHA, ESD, L&I and other governmental agencies, including employee complaints. Represents the company at employment hearings.

· Ensure compliance.

· Develops and administers compensation and position classification programs. Creates, updates and manages job descriptions. Conducts research, assimilates data and creates a wage/salary scale.

· Directs payroll processing, worker’s compensation claims handling and tracking.

· Obtains bids upon renewal, confers with management regarding benefits costs, makes recommendation as to employer/employee cost sharing, performs open enrollment and benefits meetings, and processes applications. Directs benefits administration, enrollment and open enrollment meetings.

· Develops and administers an effective recruitment program. Oversees recruitment and assists with the final decision process.

· Oversees volunteer and internship program.

· Administers and delivers learning management system. Works with managers to ensure that staff completes on a timely basis.

· Conducts needs assessment, develops training curriculum and conducts training sessions on various HR topics. Oversees orientation programs

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Non-essential Job Functions:

  • Support agency mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Attend staff and planning meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain communication and cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community at large.
  • Attends regular staff meetings.

Education, Licensing and Experience:

· Prefer 5 years of experience in Human Resource Management for a non-profit healthcare provider or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

· Strong proficiency in HRIS systems, MS Office software and other relevant software applications. Experience with UltiPro a plus.

· Master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Great knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of personnel management; knowledge of the organizations and operations of administrative programs; ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments; ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirements of senior management; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public; ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
