POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of HR is responsible for the day to day administration and operations function of the HR Department: HRIS, HR metrics and reporting, staff sourcing, recruitment and onboarding, employee performance management, benefits administration, compliance and government, audits and record and file maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partners with employees and supervisors to provide assistance regarding workplace issues in a timely manner. Provides counseling, guidance and problem solving support to staff and supervisors facing workplace issues and responsible for the the management of disciplinary action, works with legal counsel when applicable.
- Responsible for analyzing and directing functional related activities within the scope of the HRIS (Paycom). Manages the HRIS system and promotes proactive approaches using HRIS to solve business needs/problems while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the HRIS capabilities. Uses knowledge of HRIS to apply data and metrics to enhance HR’s reporting capabilities
- Manages the employee electronic benefit enrollment process and maintains accurate participant records in all benefit programs. Knowledgeable of all employee benefit programs. Responds to employee inquiries and interface with YUSA benefits.
- Administers staff FMLA and NJFLA, unemployment, workers compensation, COBRA, Retirement; handles all inquiries.
- Responsible for the sourcing and posting of all job openings, partnering with the hiring manager and participating in the interview process for exempt positions and others when asked by hiring manager.
- Ensures timely and accurate submission of data requested by the EEOC and the Department of Labor.
- Assists with the Association’s Praesedium assessment and CAP efforts/activities.
- Participates in association key strategic initiatives.
- Supervises and develops the HR Assistant.
