Position Summary
This key leadership role serves as a bridge between all programs and services of the agency and those in the larger world. This position is responsible for leading the fundraising efforts, cultivating donor relationships, and crafting the marketing efforts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with others, building relationships, and telling stories.

Essential Functions
- Cultivate, engage, and maintain philanthropic relationships with individuals, foundations, and businesses.
- Effectively craft compelling and actionable messaging surrounding the mission-driven work of EVOLVE.
- Bring leadership, critical and creative thinking skills, and solutions around the organization’s financial needs.
- Collaborate with Board members and the Board Fundraising Committee to execute development goals.
- Develop relationships that increase foundation awareness, recognition, and interest.
- Research, develop, and complete the applications for local, state, and national grant opportunities.
- Provide original content and seek out compelling stories and statistics to communicate EVOLVE’s impact.
- Work collaboratively with EVOLVE leaders to complete all reporting, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
- Attend local networking opportunities to share EVOLVE’s impact and to source perspective donors and clients.
- Coordinate outreach activities, including meetings, conferences, education sessions, and vendor tables.
- Oversee the website and supervise the creation, editing, and management of online forms, newsletters, graphics, and media releases.
- Coordinate with agency teams regarding the implementation of social media and marketing strategies.
- Provide leadership and supervision to Marketing Specialist and any other assigned employees or contractors.
- Every 6 months, set 2 personal goals for growth in Diversity Equity Inclusion work, and share progress.
- Participate in monthly discussions or learnings about Diversity Equity Inclusion topics at team meetings.

Desired Characteristics and Experience
Three to five years’ demonstrated leadership in nonprofit fundraising, cultivating donor relationships, marketing and communications. Understanding of nonprofit finance and the philanthropic community in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Familiarity with the principles and tactics of Community Centric Fundraising. Enjoys and excels in community engagement and individual relationship building. Strong verbal and written communication. Passion for social justice and familiarity with child welfare. This person must be able to pass a background check and FBI clearance check. This role requires reliable transportation and a current driver’s license in good standing.
Work Environment
This flexible hybrid role is for a Minnesota or Wisconsin based employee who can reliably commute to Oak Park Heights, MN 2-3 times each week. The EVOLVE workspace is a shared office space in close proximity to other department peers. The EVOLVE office is a pet-friendly workplace. All employees are provided with a laptop to work from home, provided the employee maintains high-speed internet and cell phone service. Your home workspace must be conducive to performing your role. Whether at home, or at the office, this role requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk, while utilizing a computer to complete work. The hours of this role typically fall between 8:30a-4:30p with some afterhours required for connection with the community. EVOLVE has opportunities to work at weekend outreach events and special programs.
