Clinician II - Medicare (Regular Full-Time, Hourly)
Program: Heartland Wellness & Recovery Center (El Cajon)
Region: El Cajon
Services: Adult Outpatient (AOP)

Hours: 32 hours per week. Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Wednesday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Pay Rate: $44.76 to $47.11 per hour

Licensure: Current and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist in California required and must keep license current during employment.

As a Medicare Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct initial behavioral assessments of new clients and reassessment for current clients.
  • Provide behavioral health services to clients and/or their families.
  • Assist clients in developing client service plans goals and in prioritizing areas of need and steps needed to reach goal established.
  • Depending upon needs of the business and clients, may be expected to provide telehealth services
  • Documents all services provided and maintains documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Must meet all California requirements to bill for Medicare services
  • Experience and knowledge of County Health and Human Services requirements, including documentation preferred
  • Bilingual Arabic, Chaldean, or Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to pass criminal/background clearance and credentialing review

Heartland Wellness Recovery Center is one of our Adult Outpatient programs (AOP), which provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and peer support. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.

All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.

CRF staff members work together to meet the needs of San Diego County's residents who are experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges.
