Full job description

Objective:

The primary responsibility of the role of the Resource Development Specialist is to develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders associated with The Haven for Children, Inc. The Resource Development Specialist reports to the Board of Directors and the Executive Director and is responsible for the organization’s consistent growth & development of its mission and financial objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute annual fundraising plan / campaigns

· Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations

· Secure and manage a team of volunteers to plan and execute fundraising events

· Develop & maintain ongoing relationships with major donors to promote annual and legacy giving

· Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and industry trends in the field of non-profit management

· Serve as the community and media spokesperson for the organization

· Oversee the marketing & Branding of the organization

· Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, including weekly input, upkeep and reporting

· Work in conjunction with the Guild Chair overseeing volunteer recruitment and opportunities

· Support the Lamp Shoppe coordinators & volunteers

· Support the Chef Du Jour program

· Maintain and manage the Haven for Children, Inc. website & social platforms

· Speak publicly and make presentations on behalf of the organization

· Represent The Haven for Children when speaking with funders and the public

· Strong interpersonal skills, work independently and be a self-starter

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to work remotely – no office space is provided for this position

· High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience in an applicable field (Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Non-Profits, Social Work, etc.)

· Experience working in similar position or ability to learn and grow quickly into the position based on past work history & proven abilities (work examples, references)

· Must have clear criminal history

· (2) Reference must be provided and will be screened prior to hiring

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25,000.00 - $27,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week

Schedule:

  • Evenings as needed
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Fundraising: 1 year (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)

Location:

  • Brevard County, FL (Required)

Work Location: Remote
