Position Summary:
The Executive Vice President (EVP) plays a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of Meals on Wheels South Texas, while sharing responsibility for fundraising, external relations, program oversight, and impact reporting. This role requires a dynamic leader with both operational expertise and strong relationship-building skills. The EVP works in close partnership with the President & CEO to ensure organizational efficiency, programmatic success, and financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership
· Oversee daily operations, ensuring programs are delivered efficiently and effectively.
· Work with department heads to monitor service quality, staff performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Share responsibility with the CEO for aligning operational goals with the organization’s strategic vision.
2. Fundraising and Development
· Lead mid-level donor cultivation, partnership development, and event planning to support organizational fundraising efforts.
· Collaborate with the CEO on major donor engagement, grant writing, and developing new funding opportunities.
· Share responsibility with the CEO for building diverse revenue streams through individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and institutional partnerships.
3. Program Oversight and Development
· Manage the operational aspects of programs, including service delivery, compliance, and reporting.
· Collaborate with the CEO to implement new program initiatives and assess program impact.
· Ensure that programs meet client needs and organizational goals, making adjustments as necessary.
4. External Relations and Community Engagement
· Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local government, and other stakeholders.
· Share external representation responsibilities with the CEO, focusing on grassroots outreach and local partnerships.
· Participate in community events and advocacy efforts to elevate the organization’s profile.
5. Data, Impact, and Reporting
· Work with the CEO to develop internal reporting systems and data collection tools that measure program success and client outcomes.
· Ensure that impact data is collected, analyzed, and reported to funders, stakeholders, and the Board in a timely manner.
· Share responsibility with the CEO for grant reporting and communicating program impact.
6. Staff Leadership and Development
· Provide direct supervision to program and operations teams, fostering a positive work culture focused on collaboration and excellence.
· Support staff recruitment, retention, and development to build a high-performing team aligned with the organization’s mission.
· Oversee performance management systems, ensuring staff accountability and continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public relations, business, or a related field required.
· Experience: Leadership experience in nonprofit management, with direct experience in external relations, program oversight, and community engagement.
Skills and Attributes:
· Strong operational and management skills, with the ability to balance internal leadership with external relations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
· Financial acumen and experience in nonprofit program management.
· Passion for serving older adults and building community partnerships.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
