Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Development to join our leadership team. This role is essential in driving growth and expanding our organization's reach through strategic partnerships, innovative programming, and effective fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nonprofit management and business development, with a proven track record of success in building relationships and securing funding.
Duties
- You will help engage and unite our community of families, donors, researchers, and volunteers who are determined to make a difference.
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Trustees to lead the development and implementation of our comprehensive revenue strategy
- Build, inspire and manage a team of best-in-class fundraisers
- Authentically recruit, engage and steward new and prospective corporate partners
- Directly manage a portfolio of top individual donors and corporate partners
- Lead the business development strategy for our Columbus Market
- Work collaboratively with our events and marketing team to design engagement experiences that will showcase our impact and inspire action
- Lead and manage the CFK Resource Development Committee and Emerging Leaders Board
- Be an external ambassador for the organization, advocating for our mission and having a visible presence in our community
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification in nonprofit management, fundraising, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully raising significant funds through corporate sponsorships, individual giving and peer-to-peer fundraising.
- Experience managing development teams and working closely with executive leadership and boards.
- Experience in healthcare or cancer organizations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
