The opportunity:
To assure a satisfactory retention, growth and profitability pattern for DentaQuest and its customers through all aspects of account management; and through strategic thinking and vision, to assist in the effective management of this portion of the business.
How you will contribute:
Develop and manage client strategies with senior leaders to develop new business and retain current clients/providers.
Collaborate as a management team in the NY/NJ market working and strategizing with other Directors in the market.
Create strategy recommendations to address business environment and legislative changes at the state and federal level applied to our existing business
Plan for market growth in both Government and Commercial lines of business.
Lead implementation of market sales and retention strategies.
Develop relationships with clients to maximize growth and retention in each business segment.
Lead and support retention and sales strategies with existing accounts via client service team.
As a member of the leadership team, align management of DQ to ensure that short term financial and long term corporate objectives are achieved, including revenue and membership targets.
Strong understanding of Quality initiatives (HEDIS/QARR) as they relate to Dental, and a proven record of success in developing strategies to improve client scores.
Support new business sales team participating in new client presentations, supporting rate and program development and negotiating contracts
Develop and engage team to innovate including but not limited to coaching, training, performance management and mentorship.
As needed, in collaboration with Senior Leadership, develop and execute plan for compliance with government relations
Lead new business efforts within assigned markets for clients
Support and enhance the development of all reporting employees by providing appropriate training, coaching and evaluation consistent with our culture and the assigned functions
Assist in budget and business planning activities; operate within this budget, providing variance reports as requested.
In collaboration with the originating departments and leadership support, effectively employ and enforce field underwriting and administrative guidelines.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key accounts at a senior management level.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal DentaQuest departments.
Assume a leadership role in creating a culture of consistent improvement that leads to Performance Excellence.
Drive our position as the oral health leader with person centered health.

What you will bring with you:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience in healthcare management required. Excellent planning, organizing, strategic thinking and business judgment skills.
Strong ability to build and develop client, broker and consultant relationships.
Strong ability to work through and with a large internal structure and organization towards issue resolution.
A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Problem analysis and resolution abilities at a strategic and functional level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A strong understanding of the government, commercial and marketplace products
Working knowledge of provider network management preferred.
Knowledge of group benefits and underwriting required.
Attends additional training as requested/deemed necessary
Preferred:
Masters' degree in related field of study preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.)
Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out position own position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required.
Incumbent works primarily in either a private or shared office environment.

Salary Range: $129,800 - $194,700
At our company, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The salary range for this role is competitive nationwide, and we strive to ensure that compensation is fair and equitable. Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to your base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on your individual performance as well as the overall performance of the business.
