Human Resources Generalist

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist. The HR Generalist organizes the daily functions of the HR Department involving applicant tracking, onboarding and training of new employees, benefits, leaves of absence, workers compensation and completing a variety of HR-related data entry and administrative tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer benefits plans including meeting with new employees or employees with position changes or life events to review benefits packages and assist employees with any benefits questions
  • Process benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations with agency vendors
  • Meet with employees to review FMLA and other leave of absence needs and process any paperwork required
  • Process workers compensation claims and work as a liaison between employee and workers compensation agency as needed
  • Organizes complex data sharing between HRIS and other agency systems and develop/run reports as needed for various departments throughout the agency
  • Create and maintain agency job postings internally and via appropriate external sources
  • Facilitate all pre-employment and post-employment background checks.
  • Track new employee onboarding paperwork
  • Assist with creation and tracking of internal correspondence for staffing changes
  • Provide employee training related to safety and other HR-related topics
  • Managing paperwork of employee hires, changes, and terminations
  • Manage annual agency requirements such as annual background checks
  • Provide general administrative support for Riverbend employees for HR-related issues
  • Assist with other projects for the HR department as needed.

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; college degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle or access to a reasonable alternative is required.
  • Two years of human resources experience preferred.
  • Experience administering benefits plans preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Paylocity or other HRIS system preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft products are required.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with attention to detail is required.
  • Comfort level with presenting to small and large groups of staff is required.
