A dynamic nonprofit seeks a Senior Program Manager to serve in a leadership, program planning and management and event planning role. Have a positive impact through the coordination, implementation, and operation of association programs, conferences and special projects. In a leadership role, the position serves as program manager for committees of the association supporting the advancement of our mission through informative meetings, conferences and events, inspiring public health and clinical initiatives and innovative programs. The position is self-directed in planning and implementing regular meetings, events, annual meetings, and initiatives. Duties and responsibilities are as follows
- Coordinates meetings and manages activities to achieve goals
- Represent Association on statewide task forces
- Work with team to plan and implement a medical education program
- Collect and examine data related to the success and direction of the program
- Collaborate in the construction of reports to organizational leadership and grantors
- Grow membership and communicate progress
- Seek sponsorships and grants to support events and initiatives, assist in writing grant applications
- Collect data and conduct research from applicable external sources to provide guidance on initiatives and/or reinforce best practices
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Coordinate events
- Manage, plan and coordinate activities of association annual and interim meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- An associate’s degree is required. Educational or work experience that is relevant to the core functions of this position is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a team player and build relationships
- Knowledge and experience in program planning and implementation
- Strong interest in health care and curious to learn more
- Experience in working in nonprofit sector is preferred
- Knowledge of and/or experience with project management is preferred
- Ability to coordinate projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with adult learning education program and successful administration
- Previous work experience in health care preferred
- Grant application and administration experience preferred
- Ability to work some weekends (annual conferences on Friday and Saturday)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
